RB - will try to make it down tomorrow to marshal. What time do you usually get there to set up? Will bring the camera along also and try & persuade Mrs K to come along & run.

Ankle/Foot is still not playing ball, so its off to the docs on Monday

Just run part of the route and the top section through the woods is pretty cut up and muddy. There were some men with sand and shovels though......

Good luck all.

Thanks all - I've had a couple more volunteers since that post - so no panic and Jolquk lie in is allowed.

Kwaka - if you want to help we meet at 8.30am by the start.

TBB - good spot - I'll go and have a look now - I'd seen the gravel pile but thought that it could be years before they start to shovel. In theory it should improve the going when done.

I've just run round there too (must have just missed you TBB!) and there's quite a lot of sand at the top of the hill so not slippy any more, but i nearly came a cropper a bit further along the path towards the down hill bit - it's really slippy there.

YP1 - have a look at parkrun.com - if you read down to the bottom lots of hints on how to find us.

I didn't have time to run but just had a quick look and seemed like it is in the winter - a bit of wet light mud on top but firm underneath. Not sure what all the sand is about as that was one of the better parts of the path. I think that it is just a community service chain gang job. I'll have another look in the morning and give warning.

In general if BRTT is very wet then trail shoes are best or at least road shoes with decent wet grip. Otherwise may be necessary to take it easy in places.

I have both!

Which makes me worry, I now appear to be the sort of person who takes two different sorts of running shoes on holiday. How did that happen?!

Probably not a PB attempt then, but it will still be nice to get a change of scenery and meet some new people. I'll probably be in a black fetch top and shorts.

I see that you've survived the Belper Rugby Rover - should be small beer compared to that - and we have signposts ;).

don't mention Belper. I'm doing it again this year, and still in denial.
