no i'm not buzzing ran the half far to fast at the start and suffered during mile 6, i blame god for sticking the young lady and her exquisite bottom into my view at the start and i more or less folowed it round for 3 miles including half a mile of being 10 foot behind

stopped for a pee and never managed to close the gap down, suspect she started off slw and then sped up where as i did the opposite, will be blogged later on anyway

legs also hurt later on too whether that was cos of the 5k or the speedy start i dont know but probably both

RB - saw you at city of manc 10k today heading into the stadium (extremely fast :-) ) as I was running past the entrance starting my 3rd lap. Second year running I've managed to run city of manc 10k slower than the GMR, no idea why. regular attendance at BRTT over the summer then a 10k PB attempt in autumn seems like a plan after today

Steve - might be there myself on Saturday, i'll see how the week unfolds

Dodge - how did race today rate compared to B of the Bang ;-) No comparison is what the bloke I walked with back to the car park said (heard swear words I've note heard in a while when he was describing B of the bang :-) )

todays race was excellent pato...compared with B of the Bang... well organised, better course and a really nice mix of different ability runners... would certainly do the race today again (not B of the bang!)...although feeling a little exhausted just now...lol

Thanks Pato - if you'd looked hard you'd have seen that the tiny leading lady was sprinting away from me at that point - and also I was not quite catching my Wilmslow buddy / rival. But I enjoyed it and quite different experience from BRTT.

City of Manc 10k is almost the great race that we need in Manchester but they need to sort out the route. 2 laps would be OK but on the 3rd I just ended up weaving through the crowds - they at least need a "fast lane". This makes it slower than most 10ks and I suspect that it is a bit long too - although this might just be the slight hills. Nice to see Dodge - I also so a few other BRTT regulars.
