I'm not too concerned with that, probably will help the pacing, plus if the family comes you get to see them a lot! Its the 11:15 start in summer I'm worried about, and also being a fat get that probably can't run 3:09 :)

I ran this in 2010 and would recommend it highly. You really should experience a 12-lap marathon once in your life!

The laps do make pacing interesting, that's for sure. That and the fact you know *exactly* where the next drinks station is going to be. I finished in 3:18 and missed my GFA by three minutes, so I'll be back this year to have another go.

My main concern (like MPH) is the possible temperature - last time it was something like an 8.00am start, which was great.

Oh, and by the way, advance organisation and communication from beyondthelimitations hasn't always been perfect, but don't let that put you off. Just turn up in good time and make sure you know exactly where on the loop and when the start is!

I have had a few emails with Anne, seems there is a fun run first at 10am which is why the marathon starts later. Seems sensible in the hight of summer to start the marathon first...but anyway, regardless I'll be there and give it a crack. Will get the mrs there with a shed load of ice for when time I pass her, every 15 minutes or so :)

At least it means I can drive down in the morning though and not have to stay over.

Don't understand how it says FULL on RW yet entries on the day?

I have e-mailed Anne, the organiser. She's usually pretty good at coming back quickly so fingers crossed they're still letting people in...

Hellen - How is your injury now?
