NE They kept saying I should give her my coat except they also repeatedly assumed the contender was a man until I shouted "It's she!" at them.
That was it. I knew it was vaguely sexist, but couldn't remember the details. It would have been good if she could have caught Ken that day!

Not in contact with anyone down there, but I've been comparing his splits with Paul's. I know Sabs is the time to beat, but she was a bit unique in the way she approached it - going slower than Paul, but a lot less rest stops.
Assuming James is more "normal" and rests similar to Paul, then I worked out he needs to be about 95% of Paul's time ( ie just over 6 hours faster ).
For the first 6 hours or so yesterday he was flying, taking a few minutes out of every split, and built up about a 50 min lead over Paul, then it turned and he started losing 2 or 3 minutes each split to Paul. Overnight he took an hour less rest than Paul, so was back with a reasonable lead, but has been losing time on almost every leg to Paul throughout today, sometimes not just a couple of mins, but 10 mins etc.
He's currently 2 mins ahead of Paul at Scafell Pike ( and needs to be more than 6 hours ahead of Paul at the end ).
So, in summary, I'd say based on last 24 hours, he might struggle to beat Paul's time, never mind Sabs' time - BUT it's still early, and things can change !!

The total elapsed time in the right hand of the 3 columns on the tracker screen is incorrect - as you will see, it is curently greater than the total elapsed time that is running in the very top right hand corner - ie time to latest peak says 79:04:16 but current elapsed time as I type is 77:08:15
Think this has been caused by doing some of the peaks in a different order to what the order is in the list. The list is effectively acting like a spreadsheet and adding time for current peak to previous total elapsed - but when you do them out of order it screws up.
It first went wrong on Sunday at about 17:00 when he did Calf Crag out of sequence with the list
The "time of day" to do the peak is correct, ie last peak Sallows at Mon 13:46:17
