(oddly, I may well have a bike with me next trip as it needs to be returned to youngest from being in Carlisle with daughter, I just haven't tried riding one for a long while!)

It’s a brilliant descent and you’ve a bacon butty and a mug of tea to look forward to (or a good handful of sports drink powder). The secret is not to raise your eyes across the way to Steel fell, although that’s not as bad as it looks and you’re not going to be running it
