Nothing's wrong with any of these readings, FS.

So, out of interest, just how high is "high blood pressure"? Or is it less about the numbers than about additional factors in combination with the numbers?

Yay! I seem to be ideal. Not that I'm at all surprised by that ;-)

I wouldn't start to twitch an eyebrow until I had three consecutive readings, taken on different days and from both arms, with a top number higher than 140 or a bottom number higher than 90.

I also wouldn't even mention blood pressure being "low" unless I had other reasons to think that the person might have Addison's disease or heart block or anorexia nervosa.

And as far as I know even the QoF, which never passes up on the opportunity to deduct money from GPs' incomes for failing to identify patients as having non-diseases for which there is no agreed treatment, hasn't cottoned on to "pre-high blood pressure" yet.

Phew :-)

The same website seems to suggest that the pill may cause a slight increase in blood pressure so I'll blame the pill rather than my unhealthy diet.
