Many of us would rather not read stuff added by certain forum members in fact I know if the option to block users posts from showing in your stream existed then I would be on a number of peoples block lists.

So how about it Fetch ?

One little click and no more aggrevation :¬) PLEASE

I know I can block entire sections of the website but some people just post crap everywhere.

We had this discussion before a while ago regarding a certain chap who has subsequently become a well-regarded member of the Giving up Alcohol thread. if everyone had blocked his nonsense early on then nobody would be reading his very worthy contributions now.

Can you not just ignore them with your eyes?

DeeGee, why not have the option? Those who want it use, those who don't don't?

Obviously I don't know how hard in programming terms it would be for Fetch to implement. But I'd be willing to test.

DeeGee - I need more , generally the first impression I give people is accurate and I find my first impression of others pretty close to the mark as well. This just leads to me getting annoyed so if I don't have to see anything it would make me happier.

Not everyday is a Friday.

Personally I wouldn't use it. I can cope with reading stuff then discounting it and don't need it to be hidden from me. Sometimes I won't bother reading a thread based on who started it (unless it looks like it's been well used and then I might take a look to see what's going on) but I don't need it to be hidden from my sight entirely.

YP, the issue I find is that some completely fantastic non-jokey threads are ruined by trolling. And you have to read complete and utter drivel. I've not the skill to scan the commenter every page.

YP - I block entire parts of the forum to save me from seeing most of the stuff I have no interest in. I now need a little more :¬)

So the people who don't want it wouldn't use it, and the people who do, would. It's called a win-win people.
