Mine was 4 mins different and I was further towards the start than you. So don't cry Sue! I crossed the line just over 55 mins, so it could have been me who got the shout out!

There's always going to be a bit of discrepancy but I think it's probably nearer 5.8 than 5.7 I think a lot depends on where they put the turnaround on the river and where the finish line is. I seem to recall more grass last year!

It said in the pre race info something about a longer run to the finish line and it says on the website 5.9 so I thought it was going to be 5.9, which plus the weaving about I seem to do would usually be over 6 on my garmin but I measured 5.85. Had I known I'd have put in a bit more effort earlier on. Still, finished in 43.15 (chip time!) which is a massive PB for me so well chuffed! Totally love Blaydon, my favourite race of the year.
