I know that the Cardiff one last year was the same weekend as Snowdonia - which I have stupidly entered this year so I’m selfishly hoping it’s not the same weekend so I can make the Fetch mile! July generally isn’t too busy so I’m hopeful I should be able to make Guildford. Manchester may be a possibility, depends when it is. |

Just hit a snag with Guildford - they've just told me that they're resurfacing the track over the summer, and they don't know the dates - so they're not taking any bookings for that period right now. I'm looking at nearby tracks - anyone local got any suggestions?

I've enquired at Woking and Charterhouse - just waiting to hear back. There's also a new track being built in Mayford, so I'm trying to find out if it'll be finished in time. If none of those work out, I'll cast the net a little further afield. It turns out that a standard Google search in this case is not as good as using satellite view on Google Maps

Ah yes, the Mayford (in Woking) track is attached to the new Hoe Valley School which I believe will be opening in September, and it will also be the new track for Woking AC whose current track has been earmarked for housing. Looking for little red ovals on satellite view? A bit like looking for the Higgs Bosun on FP! |

Looking at the Mayford webcam, the track (to the left of the building) is looking like the right shade of orangey-red, and it looks like the bulk of the exterior building work is done. Am optimistic about this one. wallboard.biositesystems.com |
