My sausage rolls are simple:
pack of ready rolled puff pastry and a sleeve of sausage meat from a butcher or farm shop
Unroll the pasty
Lay on the sausage meat
Roll up
Egg wash
Bake

If wanted, add a flavouring - apple sauce is a favourite or I've recently experimented with cheese and marmite.

I've made a batch of each so far and will be making more apple ones soon. We love sausage rolls :)

I do a no alcohol vegan version of Deliaā€™s Xmas pudding; a few swaps are required like apple juice instead of barley wine.

It has most of the taste, but is a bit lighter texture and has a more fruity taste. I like it and it does get rave reviews from others.

I made 3 in early lockdown 2 so Iā€™m golden until 2023 šŸ˜‚

I love EP saying that the Delia Torte is low cal! Scurried off to read the recipe and gasped at the amount of chocolate and double cream :-)

It is low calorie: 2 mouthfuls and youā€™re full and not eating any more......

LMH it does last a very long time as you really do need a small portion!

Itā€™s so worth it though

But isnā€™t everything low calorie or calorie free at Christmas?
