funnily enough I find that too.
Ange - finishing your first will be a huge high, not sheer relief
Now back to what I'm meant to be doing....

I'm a lightweight on the beer. I think that German strong stuff will destroy me.
Is this going to be your first one Tarange?

Indeed Kinky
I'm quite excited about this too. It will be the first marathon I've trained for & my first proper MASSIVE race.

I'm really excited about this one too - big city race, first foreign race, nice group of us. Even though it will be my 7th mara and 3rd big city mara I'm still bouncing at the mere thought

sorry - I'm lagging behind. Page loads seem to be taking an age for me on Fetch right now...
My goal is stupidly high. I aiming for sub 03:10:59 with a hope for qualifying for Boston in 2008 That will be over a 50 min improvement on my current best to give you an idea of what a tall order it is.
Currently I don't think it's doable but it's better to aim high & get somewhere than aim for something middle of the road & not.
What about you 2 Ladies? Target times?

Judging by your 10K and HM times it's not an unreasonable goal K
I'm aiming for sub 3:15 and championship start at FLM08 - ideally in London but more than likely not so I'll need a second crack at it at Berlin. If I do manage it in London then I'll be trying to keep up with you in Berlin K

it would seem that way but Abingdon made me realise the reality of the distance. I topped out in 2006 - I was good & reasonably fast up to about 7 miles - everything after that was holding on. It took a painful marathon for me realise I need a bigger base work. Now I've lost the speed I had too which is getting me down a bit
Still - tonnes of time to train so there is hope.
Wow - a champion place! You'll be rubbing shoulders with the big guns then.
Just hold on to me - I'm planning to tie a rope onto BB as he's plenty fast enough to pull us round
