Yeah Kieren... I blame you entirely! Only 8m this morning if I hadn't run into you in the park... ended up doing 9.5m and it felt like it... (the bit after I left you obviously!) I am getting there, but gonna rest again tomorrow... finding it tougher this time than post-London, but thinking that's probably a good thing, as I got massively over-excited and came back waaaayyy too soon through late April/May. Will take it easy this week (~30m max!), esp since I've gone and signed up for that Metropolitan League x-country Saturday pm. Nice cap bouncer! Rodgers is a legend: sounds like a decent sort of chap too, to take the trouble to share the essay when a quick scribble would have done... |

DIY Diva
Kieren, whatever plan you're following, it is SCARY and if you like that caps/lc thing, you should see my colour coding at work ahem. sorely tempted by qualifying time for Boston and BB's thoughts re Chicago.......have just stocked up on SIS powder/sport beans as motivated by the Ness thread as Mr DIY wanted to look @ fancy bikes at the Tri shop...this, only one week after a marathon and with a cold. *stands up* My name is DIY Diva and I am a marathonaholic

Good point, and as I have only done 10 marathons (inc one ultra) in the last 2 and a bit years I don't qualify as a marathonaholic anyway.

Yep, El Bee - youre right I'm going to take a rest from running tomorrow, then run 3.5 miles easy Tue & Wed, then 7 steady on Thursday. Then rest again Friday - does that sound okay (ish)? Good to see you too today Bertie Ooops Wiz, sorry for keeping you out a bit longer than intended. I forgot how speedy you were when I gate crashed your run - hope I didn't slow you down too much Diva, I'm not really following any plan - I really need to establish a routine I think. What I did before Berlin seemed to work quite well so I'll probably stick with that till Jan. Focusing on 3 main runs Sunday LSR - 21.9 / 14.6 alternate weeks Wed - marathon pace MSR - 13 miles (ish) Sat - tempo - 5km (uktt) rest or active recovery the days not mentioned Diva - your a machine! I'm conviced of it - especially after looking at those splits. More precise than than Accurist |
