I have relatives who live there and they agree....... is anyone else concerned about this or is it just because living in Scotland means im used to sub zero tempratures!!

In 2004 I did a UK marathon in May and the temp was above 30C by the end - these things happen...

Owning your own might be a good idea if you could use it in other races but as far as I know, every UK race that uses champion chip timing loans you a chip as part of the entry fee. I've never seen an option to use your own
