eL Bee!
Hi all :):)
Yup - still buzzing from the weekend which was simply the best :), even though I'm in Full - Flood mode with a cold that that Marathon hastened upon me !!!!! It'll be sorted in a couple of days, as will the slight ITB inflammation that I have (it's already LOADS better this morning :):))
Legs are otherwise fine - teeny bit of Quad I-ve-Done-A-Marathon-You-Know. But it was great to be walking faster and more freely than almost everyone We saw on the flight home
Off to blog a really boring race and weekend report now - I may be some time!!!

Good to meet up with many of you, and share and enjoy your successes. For me, it was a bit of a disappointing run (sorry to those who lost points on me ... but my fantasy Fetch value has increased a little), but not unexpected and I took plenty away from it. I enjoyed the day, the crowd, meeting up with fellow fetchies, and seeing the huge smiles that so many of you were wearing afterwards. Sorry I couldn't witness the madness at the party.
Almost everyone at the airport on Saturday evening seemed to be wearing a medal, t-short or carrying their orange bag. Did anyone else flying from Tegel notice how few seats there are there?! Yesterday I was feeling fairly limber, but today I'm seizing up. Must try not to spend too long sat at the desk today.
I was surprised how easy "doing" Berlin was from the logistical point of view. Probably not much more expensive than London when you take into account the relative costs of hotels, restaurants, and train vs. cheap flight. Plus I was able to stay within walking distance of start/finish, with the circular route making it easier that the logistics of getting to the start/from the finish at London.

that should've been _Sunday_ evening at the airport, of course! and a t-shirt, not a t-short. I give up.

Really enjoyed meeting up on Saturday night. But certainily not up to dancing after the race (except for the brief, involuntary, muscle-spasm induced jig trying to get up the steps at Friedrichstrasse station!).
Well done on getting your target eL Bee and congrats to all other Berlin Fetchies.

Dartmoor Vale, SBF. That's the plan at the moment, anyway. 19 days to go, should I be tapering?!
