I'm going to calm my nerves by eating more hot cross buns and perhaps a crumpet or two... calm calm calm

You can't hide on the interweb Max - I saw David's comment.
You'll be great at the marathon - there are going to be bazillions of us there for support.
And I trust the Germans to live up their racial stereotype of being uber efficient at everything - this is going to be awesome

long weekend away with family has meant only 2 runs in the last week. And one of those wasa recovery run. That's my taper plan b*ggered up then. Now to try and kid myself that the rest will have been more beneficial than the planned runs. The last four weeks have been my lowest mileage for over a year.
I'll try not to over compensate this week!
Not even started to think about it yet. Surely I should be getting excited by now....

I;m sure youre rest will have been good. I am not feeling fit right now. I haven't run at all since September 6th or so, flanker, so I'm really beginning to wonder about the wisdom of going to Berlin next weekend. I've not had a chance to think about it really, either.

HOD I can't! It's like xmas and I feel like an 8 year old. I know that Santa isn't real and staying awake all night isn't going to make the day come any quicker. But my mind won't switch off!
Uggh. this eating business is also really hard work. i'm so stuffed and i've still got a bowl of pasta for my "mid afternoon snack" and dinner tonight to go. I'm sat at my desk all bloated and sweaty. Yik!
