It is indeed 3:30pm. The quickest skaters will go round in about one hour, so you'll need to decide where on the course to watch and calculate what time you need to be there in a very different way than for a marathon!

Thanks guys. We caught the elite finishers in the last 0.2m last year on finish straight) & wanted to watch from there again as it was just incredible watching their sprint finish. We couldn't remember what time we'd been there to watch! :)

Go watch Eisbaren Berlin ice-hockey, if there is a home game. It is totally awesome. Electrifying atmosphere

Thanks for the tip Tim. I used to watch a lot of ice hockey in my teens so might give that a go.

My sister lives on the marathon route and I was lucky enough to be there on the Saturday last year. The skaters were amazing!

All - thanks for the advice a few weeks ago. Just to let you know that I did email the organisers, SCC, as advised. And sure enough, they sent me a form to cancel my place. I forfeit the fee, but get a refund on any additional items I ordered. And, more importantly, I get a guaranteed place for next year! Thanks again!

Looks like it is going to be quite warm in Berlin this weekend - what a pain. I had enough of the heat at London this year.

Forecast looks similar to what I did Amsterdam in last year, that was not a pleasant experience. But at least this year I've had a chance to train in warmer weather so it wom't be such a shock although the end result may be the same lol

Donalf - I have joined the deferment club too so will see you next year! A number of issues including a few niggles early on, missing long runs due to the heat and then combine that with a manic last few weeks to do with my house move (pre & post move) has meant I just haven't been able to get the training in so decided to defer instead as want to give it my best shot.

Good luck to all running. I loved it last year and am so jealous.
