I've booked into the Holiday Inn Express on Alexanderplatz, good price and looked comfortable enough from the website photos....... I'm doing Edinburgh too, yet for a flight and similar standard of hotel it's costing almost £200 more

Despite my having a day off today, I've already had emails fron the charity that I work for offering me a Berlin place.

But I won't want the hassle of fundraising, so will go elsewhere.

We stayed at Hotel Indigo at Alexanderplatz last year - very nice & lovely rooms with sofas & top notch showers if a bit pricey. We could stay there last year as we had enough holiday in rewards for a free stay. We're slumming it (joke) at the holiday in express this year as were having to pay! The Park Inn at Alexanderplatz would also be good - it's right next to the main alexanderplatz square an ubhan station.

I've now defo. decided not to fundraise, so will be saying no to a charity Berlin place.

Will instead be heading to Bavaria to attempt the Munich Marathon. We've good friends there, which means no accommodation worries. So, will likely treat ourselves to Club Class flights.

Good luck to everyone off to Berlin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just found this, I'm in for next year.

Interested to see your recommendation of the Park Inn on Alexanderplatz, Jovi. That venue is quite interesting to me, as I believe it used to be the Interhotel hotel, used by relatively high-ranking officials from other Soviet Bloc countries during the days of partition, and Communist Europe is a massive interest of mine. Of course, I don't imagine there are any vestiges of that particular era nowadays.

For the time being, I've found something in the more decadent districts off KuDamm

Ballbags! I have to work! Entered the ballot before the dates of the Management Weekend were known. That's really annoying, and a bit costly as I can't defer my entry.

DeeGee - are you sure you cant defer? They don't advertise deferrments but deferred 2016 to 2017 & Jock Itch deferred his 2017 place to 2018. We both had GFA places so it may be different but I'd definitely send them an email to ask.
