Really? It's reasonably nice there but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there. We stayed there the first time when hubby had a conference to go to there...that's the only reason I've been in there! It's waaaaay above our usual hotel budget!

I miss those conferences...for in house lawyers. Held in some pretty nice hotels and I could tag along for a small bit extra. We didn't get in in time to go to Monte Carlo...now that would have been fantastic.

I airbnb'd it. Studio flat, clean and cheap, couldn't ask for more and a lot cheaper than a hotel. |

Even with three minutes of precautionary walking, I've just done a 'quarter marathon' (6.55 miles) in 58.52 mins. Shows what Berlin could have been had I not lost five weeks training and been nursing an injury. But no regrets that I was super-conservative a fortnight back. The medal's all that mattered. |

We stayed at Vienna House Andel's. Not much to look at from the outside, but really cool inside. Plus, the 14th floor SkyBar was totally awesome. It was about 4 miles outside the City Centre, but well served my S Bahn and Trams.
