I did a progressive 23 miles on Saturday as my longest training run so I guess that I am tapering now. Great North Run this weekend will be done to test out marathon pace.

I hope everyone's training is going well. I did my last long run at the weekend so it's taper time now and taper madness to endure.

I wonder if anyone knows what the situation is at the water stations. On the Berlin Marathon website, it says "Each Aid Station offers water, sweet tea..." and then goes on to say later " Drinking water in cups and water containers for dunking sponges will be available".

Is the water really in cups? I'd prefer a small bottle that I can then carry and sip when I want to and when I want to take my gels.

If anyone knows, or has any info from previous races, I'd appreciate it.

I've read in a few places that the water is in cups. I've not run it before though so can't confirm 100% for you.

Am getting over a hideous migrainey-headache this morning, probably didn't drink enough after my run and gardening yesterday. But I am so excited and can't wait to get there. Flying out Friday. Just got to get round in one piece and run through the Brandenburg Gate, how amazing will that be?!!! And next year they are doing ballot style entry so I am thrilled I got in this year!

I am so excited I am not getting any work done at all, they might as well send me home for the rest of the week. Been researching Berlin's public transport this morning, and I might google the 5 day forecast next.

I've been doing the same Lemon10. Planned all our journeys to the expo etc. I did look at 3 different weather forecasts a fwe days ago and got totally different answers. They all seem to converging now and I don't think it will be too bad for Sunday.
