Mrs J- it sounds so complex, I don’t think you can expect your feelings to be simple. Take your time. Xxx

This is a great space Mrs J, thank you for setting it up.

I'm sad that I couldn't go to family funeral last week. We weren't close, but I would have liked to be able to support other family members who are struggling more.

fraggle
I lost my Dad 16 years ago, and yes it does get easier over time, but then sometimes things get you out of the blue - for me it was England winning the world cup last year as we watched cricket together, and he would have bloody well loved it :-)

Good timing, thanks for that. My Dad's funeral tomorrow, and it's ok really, he had dementia and while he might have held out a while longer no-one really benefits when that goes on too long. Visiting my Mum for the first time since lockdown and dealing with all the practical/legal stuff that has to be dealt with. My wife is great which helps in all sorts of ways. Fantastic weather today and I'm about to go for a run along the beach.

Miss my sister though and that was more than 2y ago.

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
When you lose someone it takes time to adjust to life without them, I lost 2 brothers to suicide, my Dad died from a heart attack when I was on a day trip to France, he was only 68, my Mum died from lung cancer 10 years ago, sometimes it’s really hard that they are not around.
