Sadly, it is no more.

Hi Previous entrant.

We have received several enquires regarding the 2015 event, which we are grateful to receive - it proves that the event was enjoyable for a long time after the hours of minor pain endured through the event HOWEVER -

It is with great disappointed that I have to inform you that '"The race is run'".

Due to a change in circumstances [nothing serious] and after several meetings with potential organisers, the club approaching retired playing members and attempts to continue the event under the auspices of another group of organisers from within the club, all have failed.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support - initially in assisting in Belper Rugby Union Football Club 'match fund' a National Lottery grant, and latterly the ability of the event to make financial donations to various national and local charitable groups nearly £2500 - for this small, tricky but friendly event over the last 12 years.

I hope that you keep on running and find another event that attempts to match 'Belper Rugby Rover' or you have an enjoyable weekend off in August.

Regards RR.Comm

Bizarrely it was my most run race, 18 miles of hilly trail, a proper good tester.
It's a shame , I had planned to do it again this year.
