A quick question - if I've got to drop a couple of parkrunning Explorer scout Cub young leaders at the camp site at Bromham around 10am on a Saturday morning, is it feasibly possible to squeeze in Bedford parkrun en route? Or would traffic and distance make it an unrealistic plan?

I'm sure NJ or SS will be able to give you a more informed answer... but pending that... it's about 4 miles from the park to the Bromham scout place. Traffic shouldn't be too bad (although it's mostly urban so you won't be able (legally) to drive that fast).

Might depend on who the run director is on the day. Sometimes the run doesn't start until 9:15 or later, but if any of the more recently recruited run directors is on that day or if the new event director is around there is more chance of it starting sooner. It would be tight though. Bromhams a nice place though, drop off at scout camp early? |

We have a new bypass that will help, though for the camp site it's a toss up between the bypass and 'the back route' via Oakley. Which date?

May 14th - I'll ask them what they want to doa nd whether it matters if they arrive slightly late, given that they're supernumerary

Change of plan - they've decided revision takes precedence over cub camp, so we won't be visiting tomorrow after all

If anyone is considering coming to Bedford parkrun this weekend, it would be lovely to see you and I know someone who could probably do with a bit of fetch-love, the really good stuff. Hug-tastic, full on, cakey and all that kind of thing. Please do come. It's also food bank collection week. |
