I've been to a couple that charge a couple of quid for a bag drop but the money normally goes to charity.

Winded
Is Bear Grylls known for obstacles or races? I can do you a "Winded 5K" - you park in my drive and leave your bag in my house. You run up the road, along the river, through the RSPB reserve & back to my house - 5k and a couple of extra k for free! Price on application, ask about my "cuppa special" deal with a hot drink at the finish area drinks station(kitchen). Hobnobs available for a small extra charge - please pre-order. Or if you are prepared to pay for the personal touch the "Guided run" package is also available for those unable to follow simple directions. This has the added advantage of going no faster than me so you can have a rest at the same time as running! |

Seratonin
Sounds like a proper rip-off at those prices. As much as I admire Mr Grylls, it smells more of a *make loads of dosh quick* than a genuine runners challenge.

ERM
A mild mannered colleague completed one of Mr Grylls' 'Survival' events last year - and his Facebook review was absolutely swear-tastic in its attack the on the 'survival' element and the cost of it all.

Spleen
I did the Bear Grylls Survival Race recently. Well, technically I stayed in my hotel while a BBC intern made me tea, but it's the same thing.
