i thought that.... Well done again Mike, brill effort...!! I am having major garmin issues, the last 2 races my garmin has read a good bit slower than my official time. Moray wasnt chipped so i took the 58:11 10k PB but wanted to prove it beyond doubt in Loch Ness.. which i did with a watch time of 57:01, i was soooo happy, i cried over the finish! but imagine my delight when official result said 53:18!!?? WTF?? Garmin needs an overhaul! |

I was late getting along - so late that by the time I would have got into town and parked etc I'd have missed most of the 10 k runners - so instead I headed along the Dores Road, found a parking place at the top (near) of the hill at 21 miles, parked up and set up my own one man Fetchpoint! Complete with one Fetchie (me) and loud music courtesy of my car cd player.

Sounds great OC, I wish I'd been there this year Good place for a Fetchpoint! I remember the guy last year who was playing Scottish music loudly from his car at the bottom of his lane... |

actually OC it was great and unexpected to get your support/music, and perfectly positioned. I had a wonderful day yesterday, brilliant atmosphere and organisation and support along the way. Near the finish I heard a lot of 'Fetch' cheering that sounded like an impromptu fetchpoint. Unlike last year where my quads entered the agony zone at 17 miles, this year it was at mile 22, which meant I could run the whole way and get a 3.56 compared to 4.10 last year, so chuffed with that and means I can even walk almost normally today :-). Interesting that the LNM teeshirt seems to be the technical type this year as opposed to cotton, which a few people were commenting on earlier in this thread, so will be using this for runs in future.

Yeah the tech tesshirts were well lush, shows theyre taking on board the feedback. The 10K one was still a grey cotton affair but I'll definitely wear it. Its not like we run for the teeshirt (its all about the medal eh?). I liked the bronze colour for 5K, silver for 10 and gold for the Marathon.
