Looking to go a decent bit under 7 hours for the Fred Whitton
Would also like under 11 hours for the Bowland Badass.

Bowland Badass? Sounds unpleasant, do tell...I am planning to do the Motion in Mercia next year - hopefully I can do 53 miles in one go by April. Maybe I should out an aim of doing 1000miles in a year as being about the lowest I can put down without being embarrassing, that's about 20 miles a week... That should be doable, I would also like to enter a couple of sportives other than that one.

If, as is likely, I finish 2012 on 8672 miles (2011 was 8671) then 8673 for 2013 seems a good target, but mostly I want to spend more time actually training rather than just dawdling around, logging miles.
I might do a sportive, but my main objective will be to try to beat 21 min for 10 miles.

Bowland Badass is 167 miles and around 5000m of climbing.
£10 to enter and that basically means you don't have to stop at shops to buy food, and they cover their insurance premium.
Very low key event which is a bit of a brute - loved riding it this year!

It would take me at least a week and much crying to struggle round that lot! :-(

I've got three levels of bike mileage target, but am going to start out with the lowest one as my "official" target. That gives me scope for not living on a bike. I can always amend it mid-year if we get a decent summer.

7500 miles in 2013, with at least 6000 of those being outdoors on a proper bike.
