These are the things I tried
decathlon.co.uk
As I said in my last post they were OK but I'd rather have shotbloks which are easier to carry for a start.

Spleen, it's kinda the opposite. Baby food is lower in the stuff that makes food palatable, like salt. Since fondness for sugar and salt is innate rather than acquired, I do feel sorry for the babies.

Why do you feel the need to eat pureed food. Are the conventional products not working for you?

My kids would never touch the stuff. We had to puree our own food otherwise they wouldn't eat anything. Less convenient for sure, but at least you know there's no crap in there.

@ BaronessBL these look kool, will have a look when im at Decathlon at the weekend.

@ DeeGee During my training I experimented to what is best and I have found Soreen Malt loaf is pretty good but I was thinking more about convenience of 'eating' a liquid rather than solids I have still been using gels tho with the malt loaf

Malt loaf isn't exactly portable, I suppose. However, if you run wearing a cycling jersey you'd be surprised what you can carry.

I haven't run Paris for a few years, so I can't speak definitively as to what the feeding stations contain.

Have you tried something like nakd bars? They're solid, but wrapped so should hold up better, and are basically mushed up fruit and nuts.

I cut and wrap up the malt loaf and I wear a belt that has a pouch :)

Nakd bars are a good idea, may give them a go on my last long run :) ta

According to the FAQ, they're giving out dried and fresh fruit at every feeding station as well. Which is both nice (in that it's quite a good thing to eat) and nasty (in that it makes the road around the feeding station both slippery and sticky).

No tea, though. I wish Paris would speak to the Germans and find out what they give out. I love drinking tea part way round...
