I've been watching quite a few documentaries on various streaming platforms recently - mostly due to scheduled tv being terrible, and Hollywood only making remakes.

There is some great stuff out there, a few examples below.

Kilian Jornet Path to Everest : amazon.com

The Dawn Wall : netflix.com

Wide Boyz : amazon.co.uk

Thereabouts Outskirts series :

Rapha EF Gone Racing series :

Recommend me something :)

Have you seen The Barkley Marathons (Netflix) yet?

Icarus and Stop at Nothing, both on Netflix, are good documentaries about doping in cycling.

Agreed: Icarus is terrific.

Also on Netflix, the Oscar winning short-documentary about the White Helmets of Syria

Thanks for the recommendations -have seen Icarus and Barkley a while ago. I thought Icarus was both scandalous (for the open advice of the Russian doctor), and disappointing - he didn't appreciably improve with his chosen regime, what message did that send? That doping doesn't work?
I really enjoyed When Heroes Become Legends, looks a fine set of races - could have done with a less dramatic narrator though ;)
Looking forward to the White Helmets.

Yeah, the voice over is a bit over the top, but for the first attempt at making a documentary I think they did pretty good.

You should come give some the races a try Oum ;)
