Cheap at £26, flat (on a track?) so PBable, late autumn, so time to recover frome earlier autumn stuff or have another go if you didn't get your PB in early Sept etc? Didn't recognise names signed up in Fetch, so maybe they are runners, not chatters?! Anyone? Ta. :-) G

I didn't think it would be a huge, popular one! Let me know if you know anything about it. Looks like it's round an airfield. I've got buddies locally who we could visit and (ab)use for accommodation, see! :-) G

Is this the one that folk have warned me is a multi lapper and has lots of twisty turns round cones in order to make up the distance? Anyone, anyone, class, Bueller? :-) G

Nelly
According to raceways.eu it's eight laps with what appears to be four out-n-backs around cones per lap.

clare1976 has the half in her profile, maybe fmail her?

Ears burning... It's basically on Long Marsdon airfield, about 4-5km loop with some out n backs. Pancake flat but mat be exposed to the elements if wet / windy. There is 5k, 10k, half and Mara all on at the same time. Hellen has done the marathon I think.

If I do it, it will purely be a head down and aim to grind out a sub-1:30 HM race evenly paced. Not for scenery! Not sure how conducive it will be - flat but twisty, monotonous, maybe crowded early on with shorter races also on. But only a few miles away for me. Will see how Abingdon goes before i decide and also the weather forecast, lol! I was planning to do Gosport HM but for various reasons the family weekend away to incorporate that will be highly unlikely so I am looking at alternatives.

Thanks for info clare. For me it would be a mercenary sub 3:15 attempt to renew GFA. Certainly not for scenery! Think it's PB-able? :-) G

I don't know, I am as intersex as you. In theory yes, but depends on weather (wind), congestion and how much the switchbacks slow it down or impact the garmin measurement. Hellen would be the best person to ask. I'll try to remember to message her later and point her in here to answer that! ☺
