South UK, Autumn. Well, Rutland Water's in November, so is that late Autumn or early Winter? It's south UK, though. Lovely scenic route, too.

Liverpool? Not south, but you could fly. Again it might be windy though.

liverpool this year was very well-organised. not very hilly either. a long hill coming out of the tunnel at the half way point and another hill out of the city centre a couple of miles later. but apart from that not too bad. there's quite a lot of river frontage tho - although most of it on the wirral side which mostly has the wind behind you. there was a bit of weather in the final mile or so but at least it was either downhill or flat at that point.

Luton is lovely. Liverpool will be much more fun - I say fun - I mean fun as in having leg cramps for the last 10 miles cursing every step

i like luton and am planning on doing it again this year. it's my pb course which is a bit bizarre as it is definitely the hilly side of undulating. i didn't have a very good day at liverpool, either, bcrb, but i can't blame the course for that! limped in at nearly 5:15 - i've managed to block out the exact numbers. it was a scally party at the back tho which more than made up for it |

Not keen on Luton's cancellation record! Would prefer earlier than December too. Some races I haven't thought of here so thanks for the suggestions. Liking the sound of Mablethorpe at the moment.

It's mid November now. I assume precisely because of the 2 cancellations one of which was a car slid on ice blocking the road which couldn't be moved on time. Hardly their fault.
