Thanks for the advice, I don't think I've an option but to start slow also heard a rumour about a toughish finish!!
Really lookin' forward to it though.

Tough is an overtstatement TBH

Its a pretty flat race..just not pancake...you go down 100ft over the first half and climb back on the 2nd half

There is good support that will get you there

100ft over 100ft will, indeed hurt.
100ft over 6 miles is doable ;-)

Bit more I suspect ... Cheshire plain is pretty...erm...plain

Its just that it is uphill and surprises people
