I think that this is still the UK all comers record - GNR doesn't count as official HM because it is downhill. It's never been the fastest for me - I suspect it is slightly long - Malcolm always errs on the long side. Also as a Wilmslow runner the expectation is high - most years I've run faster on the hills at Macc HM. FWIW Wrexham Village Bakery is the flattest and fastest in the NW and like Homer said. But I'd say that Wilmslow HM manages to hit the right balance between big race atmosphere + athletes and local race fun + support.

There is a little dell with raised pavements and it is mobbed with locals shouting theit heads off. I am very very excited about running this again This is really a great race
