Oh dear oh dear, I entered yesterday after being bullied by a mate and proceeded to do my research today.
Reading this thread I discover there is a 2:35:00 cut off! S*i*!
Did 2:56:00 at the GNR last year and I'm hoping I'll cope with the distance a bit better this year but will my new Fetchies t-shirt really shave enough time off my time to get me over the line before everyone has packed up and gone home?

ww - I think they put that on to disuade too many charity runners. If your a few minutes out I wouldnt worry too much.
Get training and you'll smash your pb.

WarrierW - I think a few of us slower runners have been worrying about this. Wilmslow will be my first half and I think in retrospect I probably should have gone for the Great NW half at the end of Feb. Depending on how my training goes I might still enter it and use it as a 'warm up' for Wilmslow! ;)

Try not to worry, there are others in the same boat!

ww & sp - the organisers try to discourage those who are planning to walk round - this causes problems with the road closures and for the many volunteers out on the course. As long as you make a good effort to run you'll be well supported and have a great day.

Ta for the support.
I'll be running all the way round but it seems my run doesn't seem to be much faster than many peoples walk.
Never mind, it's a bit of an incentive to aim for a pb.

The race is now almost full.

Online entry closes TODAY but if you send postal entry by the weekend you might still get in.
