An obvious one perhaps but ... remember about the clocks change on Sunday ... "spring forward" so one hour less in bed.

Could anyone who has done this before ease my mind on the profile of the course, I've read that its a fast course and I've been lucky enough for Nellers to send me the course profile, looks like slight descent 1st half then the reverse pretty much on all the way back. Is it slight enough to be planning even pacing or is the 2nd half likely to be slower due to it being uphill (or is the uphill really not enough to worry about).

Think I'm getting worried about it again as I've just developed what I think is an ITB Band issue on the outside of my left hip, no running again today as a result but only second day of non running and yesterday was planned as a rest day anyway, pain first developed in Sunday.

You are never going to feel like you are running tough course, really. I recall feeling a drag a bit at about 9 miles, but it really is a fast course so don't worry :-)

I've never really noticed the 2nd half being net uphill, even on my first time (which was also my first half). There is a very short but quite steep climb around 10-11 miles, but you get it on the way out too so at least you'll be aware of it! Aside from that, there's a little bit of undulation but nothing more.

Cheers Puddington and Sprouty....been looking forward to this and training for this for months and months so I guess I'm just getting a bit of pre-match nerves (with the ITB issue adding significantly to that - although rollered this morning and seems a bit better).

It is a good race -I've done it 10 times, I notice the hill at about 11 miles but it isn't a " fearsome" one - enjoy it Brian x
