The railway bridge always gets me too. I train on hills - I can't avoid them but good point pato - the first have does encourage runners to go out too fast. I've done this race about a dozen times - I'll get it right one day :-)

Common one....after the railway bridge the slope is uphill all the way to the finish - never steep just there

I suppose at my age I should be happy that I just finish but was a little disappointed with myself - coz my hip started to hurt after 6 miles and I really felt crap after that kept having little walks then run again and i dragged myself from 10 miles onwars - BUT don't get me wrong _ I.m not moaning ,( 2nd place in age group) I think we are just critical of ourselves sometimes aren't we - anyway bit stiiff and sore today.

Awww... shame you didn't make first in your age group, MG. Well done, anyway.

P.E...
At the risk of sounding smug I didn't really notice the hills. To me they seemed shortish and were usually with a downhill before or after. Maybe the last one is a touch on leg busting side as your trying to give everything in the last mile. Maybe I just had a good day at the office :-)

I've been tipped off that entries have now passed 3000 and that the online entry might close by next week. After that you'll probably need to have an elite-ish time to get an entry.
