Rolling back the years is more like it too

Last time I did sub 60 was about 8 years ago or so, I did sub 57

Will be a miracle to pull it off after so long

But I will keep working on it

For the first time this year, I ran 10k feeling comfortable on Saturday morning.
Fetch puts my time at 1:11:24 for 10k, which is a good improvement on 1:13:17 on a similar route from a month ago. Particularly as I walked for a bit in mile 3 to sort out some issues with my music.

I'm running more consistently and have increased my walking this month, but I think the big difference was listening to a good soundtrack in my headphones. I don't always have music on when I'm running, but it really helped keep me going.

Keep at it everyone.

That is a good improvement, S. itโ€™s good when you can see consistency paying off.

Thanks GM. I have a 10k race lined up in October that I'm optimistic might happen. Theoretically I'll have run a half marathon in September, so that could be a really good target race

Blimey - this thread prompted me to visit the Training Benchmarks tab - only to find out that during my time on Fetch, I only have 2 of these, and the last one was over 2 years ago! - 1st part of this year, various injury niggles, so perhaps a potential target for later this year?
