Fenland (Fenners) Runner
I ask this because the Cambridge branch is closing and noticed yesterday that the Peterborough branch (Bridge Street) is also closing down?

I've seen closed ones in Exeter and Colchester so far this year, certainly seems like some cutbacks at least.

They're owned by Sports Direct now. Perhaps they've been 'rationalised'

and I know they used to run their own running club too, they probably still do for the open shops, but that's a loss to the people who belonged to that running community...

Yup, Cambridge was embedded in a David Lloyd gym and apparently they're trying to keep the local group going through there. It's a genuine loss to the area. I thought some of the staff were really good - friendly, helpful and sincere.

The Nottingham branch was good and the running group was very popular but it rented a unit in a large gym and got booted out and the shop closed a couple of years ago. The running group has survived. nottinghampost.com |

I havent heard anything about the Maidstone one closing. Although I don't go there anymore since I moved, I know a lot of people who still go to the running club there.

I know the stores near Clapham High Street and Oxford Street closed a while ago. I've just looked and there are still 27 stores across the UK.

Too Much Water
The one in the City was still there a few weeks ago, Mind you there would be high footfall and lots of turnover there I would guess
