Far too many to eat.

Bumper harvest as well and better condition than usual (tree is left untreated). Come to think of it, few wasps this year. Unusual, as a good crop last year and I don't think the tree has ever delivered two consecutive good crops in over twenty years.
The obvious answer is to ferment them :-).
I'm thinking of going into frozen apfelmus.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Our second year in this house with its apple trees, the first year the birds got most of them before I had a chance, this year I'm going to try storing them by wrapping them in paper and putting them in boxes somewhere cool.

The dog is pulling them off our tree and eating them (The branches are weighed down with them - not only are there lots but they're really big this year.)

Try making cider. You don't really need too much special kit just to have ago. Wilko's have got all the bits you'll need.
