You've got plenty of time to lose weight. I don't know if you drink, but if you do, stop. I lost 1 and a half stone before my first marathon with not drinking and sensible eating. You don't need gimmicks. You'll be fine :)

Thanks everyone. Looks like an overwhelming "Bad Thing" vote!!
I rarely drink but my biggest weakness is bread so I need to have the will power to cut this out/stop. Some great advice on proteins vs carbs. Thanks all
