Are we allowed to do classified ads in Fetch, I can't remember?!

Wanted: Garmin 310xt - second hand, cos I'm cheap! Want a 310xt cos it's waterproof (as I killed my Garmin 305 in the rain yesterday, though it may be the hard life it's had for the last 4,000 miles that did it!) and longer battery life.

Not bothered about the HRM strap, but the charger and ANT stick need to be included.

Thanks! :-)G

Garmin do a repair service - they replaced my knackered 305 this month with a reconditioned one. Might be worth a try. mine was free as they thought it was under warantee.

Thanks Vickster, yes, I'm on my second 305 already, having done the £50 replacement from Garmin. It's a very good service. But I was looking for something that will survive the water. The rubber buttons on my 305 have perished. Hence looking for a 310xt.

Emmett - I'll fmail you to ask how much. Thanks. :-)G

Just for info and sorry if this torpedoes you Em....my 405 died in the rain.

So, I bought a 210 as they are waterproof and a bit more simple (have proper buttons, the bezel thing on the 405 is rubbish in the rain). Now I check though the 310 is now a similar price to the 210. I suppose everyone wants a 610 nowadays.

Splash the cash G :-)

If you decide to buy new then just in case you don't know handtec.co.uk are nearly always cheapest by far for electronic stuff.

Just had a look and they're doing a new 310 for £150 delivered or a refurbished one for £142 ( seems a no-brainer ! ), compared to about £190 elsewhere

Never actually used handtec myself, but think they are are an established UK business, or if a bit doubtful then you coukld use one of the main on-line shops that do a price match, eg Wiggle

I've used handtec - would recommend. They even replaced the 405 I bought from them with no quibbles when it wouldn't hold charge.

Can you tell I'm not a 405 fan?!

Thanks WW and Gus, I might just go to handtec then. Those prices are without the HRM Gus, btw. Which is fine, I hardly used HRM on my 305. Emmet is checking out what the 405 is going for, but if the 310 is only £130 or so, I can probably stretch to that! :-)G
