Happy - have used handtec on more than one occasion for Garmins over the years - be they my own or gifts, they're very good.

i traded up from 305 to 310xt and use the 305's hrm with it. the 310xt is a great watch but be prepared for some hair tearing out while you get though the ant stick transfer issues. see the 310xt thread for more details. the 310xt is a damn fine watch so pt up with it. I got mine off amazon at xmas as they were doing a deal. They seem to be selling the 310xt with a hrm cheaper the without at the mo on Amazon.

OK, I've spent the £152 and bought the 310xt from handtec. I've decided to keep my 305 but not bother with the £50 repair/replace. It seems to be still working after I've charged it, done a reset. The menu button is broken, the screen is misted (it was very wet on Sunday morning up in the hills!) but it seems to still find satellites. So I will keep it as a back up (for when I'm doing a run that lasts longer than the 20 hours that the Garmin 310xt claims its battery lasts!) Thanks for your suggestions everyone. :-)G |

Well done G - as Huw says, the 310 is a great watch (as was the 305, but I think the 310is slightly more comfy, and vibrating alerts are cool too for mile splits). See you on the 310 thread for the inevitable ANT stick teething troubles... http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=39918 |
