I don't know on peoples definition of "south" But the Birmingham and Black Country Half is lovely, all on canal towpath. You run from Wolverhampton station to Brindleyplace in Birmingham. The Wyre Forest Half is also lovely, a lot more challenging terrain / hill wise, you really are running through fields / pine forests etc all the way. Last year there were some little piggies running around at the top of one of the climbs. They are both good events, well organized. This year they are on the same weekend 8th/9th July. |

Plenty of trails up our way, McG, though most are shorter. Here's the place to find them: midessexcasuals.org.uk |
