Always nice when a game not due for release until tomorrow turns up on your doorstep yesterday. That's the sort of pre-order system I like! Although breaking release dates should be frowned upon. I would have been in a world of shit for doing so when I used to run Magic the Gathering tournaments.

Never played this, but I remember it was launched in 2007, the first year I went to the Spiel game fair in Essen. Apparently it has a fair bit more luck than many Eurogames. Look forward to hearing about it.

I've just bought Marvel champs on a bit of a whim. Wife isn't into board games as much as I, and lockdown has deprived me of some of those, so I felt Marvel would provide me with a medium-heavy solo game that I can play co-op once lockdown eases.

We enjoyed Jamaica. Synge you are right, there is quite a lot of luck involved which annoyed our 12yo at times. When you have to battle another pirate ship you throw dice and he mainly lost.

I love the style of it, and it zipped along once we got the hang of it.

Just snagged an OOP expansion for War of the Ring. One copy appeared on Amazon, but seller is in the USA, so not certain as yet that this order won't get cancelled.

Keeping fingers crossed......

I bought Flamme Rouge a couple of weeks ago, but we’ve been too busy to play it yet.

Me and my lad played Scythe again. Very enjoyable even as a 2-hander.

And we’ve family-played Villainous a couple of times. It’s good fun (still).
