I am probably not going to run this next week, not so much because I am knackered after 50k at the weekend but because I am at a ball the night before. If I don't run I'll pop along to take photos - smile just before you get to the first mile marker and then again at the finsih! If I do run I suspect it will be a PW!

If any of you are playing Fetchpoint there are loads of flowers to be picked on the course.

I'm running it again this year and hoping to be faster than last. I'll look out for you Mrs.B. Its forecast sunshine and showers, so I hope the showers won't be too heavy.

I've not entered this year as I'm no where near fit enough. Longest run in the last 6 months is 8.5 miles

I'm going to aim for 1.35 - 1.40 (PB from last year was 1.25) so you may have to hang around to see me at the end! I ran the first 10 miles of the National 50k in 1h 31mins last Saturday, but think I'd be pushing it/risking injury to aim for anything more than that.

Forecast includes wind - which will be fun across those exposed fields for mile 8!

That was good going in your 50k. I've never run further than the marathon distance, and I've run 11.

I was "tail runner" today at the Brockenhurst parkrun as I wanted a nice easy warm up for tomorrows race. I ran Alton last year in 1.18.55, and am hoping for a better time this year.

I did QE parkrun with Freddy (10year old)

I'd forgotten how much 'fun' it can be trying to persuade a 10 year old to run up a long (1km) hill!

Must dig out a posh frock for tonight's ball. I expect to be hanging on the start line!

Right - there are a million, squillion flowers on the Alton 10 route - someone please log this run and claim them all so I can start with a nice fresh road to start planting more flowers!

I'm afraid I didn't really notice all the flowers, as I was too busy battling the strong winds. The official results aren't up yet, but my time according to my Garmin is 1.15.53, distance 10.04 miles and WAVA 78.50. This is approximately 3 minutes quicker than last year, so am very pleased. I'm waiting to see where I came in the 65-70 category.
