I know you're looking for the YANBU response but I use our basement showers and enter and exit through the car garage entrance / exit in the basement to avoid going through the office reception.

We don't have clients/customers in our reception, but do have suppliers and colleauges (obv!) and I think the sight of my legs or sweatiness isn't something they should be subjected to.

We had showers built in the basement of our building specifically for those who run / cycle to / from / during work. The only access is through the main reception, so no arguments here :D

YANBU OP I reckon you should get changed out of your running gear into workwear just outside the building and see how that goes down :-)
