I did the first time I used it. Only swapped some Saturday tune up races for Sunday as that's when they all are. I was doing the up to 70, so just moved my long run out to Monday those weeks.

Can't manage this time though. The main difference being not being single this time round. It's much harder when I have to take other people into consideration!!!

I was going to be almost exactly following the schedule last week. And then I started coughing....

... feeling a bit better now but sounding a lot worse and 35 miles not run, but as long as my training is within sneezing distance of a novice plan I don't worry. And at least I can get up the stairs by myself today!

Uurg uurgh hack hack etc.

I'm missing 1, 0r 2 of the runs only, but keeping on top mstly.

As to the taper, I agree it may be to steep! I guess I will see how I feel in tose weeks and adjust as I feel appropriate. It has to be a personal thing.

I am now 5 weeks in to the 12/70 and feel okay. However I am monitoring my tiredness closely and have had a few sore thrats to contend with. On par though!

Quiet here, has everyone finished with marathons for the year? It might be a bit early to be thinking about London but I'm planning to follow the 70-85 mpw schedule!

Thread activity! It's a tiring schedule! Is that the 55-70 or the 70-85? The long mid week runs after work are what tire me out.

Is there anybody out there?

I'm doing a plan based on the 55 mpw 18 week schedule (though with longer long runs). Finding the mileage okay, but the tempo runs are work hard. Coming up soon is a long run including 12 miles at marathon pace. Not looking forward to that.
