I guess most of those race week miles are easy pace though?

What's the 28 miles for - 50 mpw schedule? Does seem quite high to add the marathon on top.

I did about 55 (including the marathon) on the 70mpw schedule last year.

Not read too far (yet).

I'm in the "up to 70mpw" general category. Apart from ultra racing weeks, I've not really been above 70 or so.

My challenge this year is to get around 70mpw EVERY week this month, then a nice taper for FLM.

It's far too late for me to be adopting P&D schedules now, 7 weeks before FLM. I'll have to plan the next one properly (caveat- if I do Windermere, 3 weeks after FLM, then there would be no point getting into any schedule other than the "rest rest rest" kind).

All easy pace apart from one 9M with 2.5M at MRP. The 28M on the 50mpw schedule does seem high.

I might look at my schedule this w/e to see if it's worth tweaking, but with only 7 weeks to go I'm unlikely to change it much.

Disgraceful. What's the point in having a topic about this if other people aren't going to read the book for me! ;-)

Jacobi, Would it not have been easier to put your hand in your pocket? :)

I've just ordered Alberto Salazar's Racing book from Amazon. Looks very interesting and is supposed to be on the same lines as P&D. I had a good look in Borders but it was £13 ,got from Amazon for less than £6!

Jacobi, you must know you cant have too many running books!!

Sorry to spoil the thread.

Ian
