Here's the new bit of Abingdon parkrun now the local council came along and cut the corner at the very narrow section of the course beside the raging River Thames . . in the photo the marshal assigned to yesterday's life-saving duties is standing forlornly where a forest used to be (well, maybe a rather large shrubbery) . . the track on the left being where we used to stumble past the bushes . . and where he's standing being where runners are now free to roam . .

Oh that's much better! The 'low ride' seemed to be getting closer and closer to the water!

It was just overgrown shrubbery too, so not a huge loss.

Hi Rich :)

I was going to go tomorrow but I've now developed a bit of a niggle :( so I need to save myself for Sundays run.

I'm running on Sunday too . . in one of those "race" things! :-O

anybody running Abingdon parkrun on Saturday? All being well I'm going to be there on each of the next 3 Saturdays so hope to see you :-)

Hi Rich, I'm planning on running it this Saturday and marshalling it the following Saturday :):) That'll be it then until 2012!
