Last time we went to The Boundary I think, and the food was great, they accomodated 30+ for a sit down meal.

Here is a Google Map version of the route for the Abingdon Marathon 2008. Please note that it is not meant to be an accurate measurement of the course, but an indication of the actual route. (ie this map shows 25.94 miles not the full 26.2 that you will be running) You can view it best by clicking on the ‘Hybrid’ button – this sets the map to Satellite view with road names overlaid. Then zoom in and drag the map around to follow the route. Link (roll over me to see where I go) Please note: I have found this application to be a bit flaky so please be patient as the map does take a little while to load. You will see where the course loops. As explained earlier on the thread, part of the reason why the race was cancelled in 2007 was because of the vast numbers required to marshal. By having a loop reduces the number of marshals and makes the event possible. Whilst this is not ideal I am sure you would rather have a loop than no race. Also, I'm looking into a venue for the post-race social. I will advise in due course. |
