josephine, walk-run man was averaging exactly the same pace as me so I talked to him quite a lot as we took turns passing each other every 5 minutes. He was on a walk-run strategy, but he was slowing down just as much as I was over the last 6 miles! (ended up 25 seconds ahead of me at the end)

AntBliss - the great dollop
Ultra kaz - if you find one on the SSP gallery you like - then if you use the "addthis" button on the top of the page it puts the watermarked image onto your wallpaper (legally!) - it will fade though when we archive them offline. The 90 days usually is long enough for many though.

I am an Ambler but 2nd claim (this first/second claim is such a pain - I can see the point for the fast 'uns but not for those whose dearest ambition is to make the "D" team!) and am not AFAIK on the gallery... btw was Max in Runners World a couple of years ago or did I dream that? |

PS my friend the Welsh lady wasn't Mel - Ant has pictures of her here gallery.sussexsportphotography.com (you can see the bruises starting to bloom in fact). She was impressively grown up about it but it was a real shame because the training had gone so well. |

Dear Rich K I'll say publicly to you Thankyou so much for helping to make another superb day we had a fabulas run- i was on for sub for right up to 20 miles, then my sore groin played up big time, and of course that path at 13 and 22 hurt me to be honest but i live to run another day - that's all that matters |

Mick that's very kind of you but I wasn't the only one (and I know you're not suggesting I was!!) lots of us contributed to making the day what it was in some degree or another :):) the main thing is that it was a success and that Abingdon is back on the calendar, thanks to LotTL and his team sorry to hear that your groin let you down but you're right . . there's always the next one
