Monday 13 Oct 2008 Tonight we went to our local track - we ran non stop for 60 mins around and around - it was real good, very cool, very refreshing - we kept the pace quiet, distance was not important, - Keeping myself in top condition was , I ‘m not even interested physically, it was purely psychological We ran in semi darkness as no one turned up - they were up in the Cotswold hills training, Luckily the football courts were lit up next door - it made it fun half in the dark, the hour went so quick it was incredible So, now I just have Wednesday night’s solo training run with my club before Abingdon FM |

Hippo, it was the Kingston Breakfast Run! We had hung around after the 16-mile race started to watch the 8-milers finish, and in between this chap came running up the road towards the marshalls holding his race number. We gave him a big cheer when he finally set off! We gave him another cheer when we saw him half way round too.

Chris, I've only just seen that you're doing Abingdon, so I was going to offer you a lift. I'll be setting off from Kingston at about 6.30-ish, and going to Boundary House afterwards.

I beg to differ Hipps, there are different forms of ministering, yours took the form of three ladies running in the other direction between Hampton Court and Kingston Bridges, who raised their arms above their heads and gave you a loud cheer. 'Twas me, DIY Diva and Kirsty!

Apaprenty I am allowed to come out ad play on Sunday now. of the back of 40+ miles lsat week, so not exactly tapered, but will just see how it goes. Thinking of 8:45-8:50 pace if anyone else is doing the same? At least until about 16 miles, then who knows! |
